PHP Developer (Symfony)
📍 Responsibilities
- Develop new features and microservices using PHP 8.x + Symfony 6
- Maintain and gradually refactor legacy modules on Symfony 4/5
- Design data schemas and write efficient queries for PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB
- Integrate with external services via REST APIs and queues (RabbitMQ, Redis)
- Write unit and integration tests (PHPUnit)
- Participate in code reviews, follow SOLID / DRY / KISS principles, and document code
- Work in a Docker environment and deploy via GitLab CI/CD
- (Optional) Set up full-text search with Elasticsearch
- Tech Stack
- Backend: PHP 8.x, Symfony 6, Doctrine ORM
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
- Queues / Brokers: RabbitMQ, Redis (Kafka is a plus)
- Search: Elasticsearch
- Infrastructure & CI/CD: Docker, GitLab CI/CD
- Monitoring & Logging: Grafana, Sentry
📍 Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 3+ years of commercial experience with PHP, including 2+ years with Symfony (4/5/6)
- Strong knowledge of Symfony: Bundles, Event Dispatcher, Messenger, Flex
- Solid experience with Doctrine ORM (QueryBuilder, DQL, migrations)
- Experience building and documenting REST APIs
- Strong SQL skills, including complex JOIN and CTE queries
- Basic knowledge of HTML / CSS / JS for frontend integration
- Experience with Git-flow and participation in code reviews
- Willingness to work with legacy code
- Nice to Have
- Experience with Docker / Kubernetes
- CI/CD setup in GitLab
- Experience with RabbitMQ, Redis, Kafka, or similar
- Experience with Elasticsearch or other search engines
- English for reading technical documentation
