📍 Responsibilities
- Developing new features and microservices using PHP 8.x + Symfony 6
- Supporting and gradually refactoring legacy modules on Symfony 4/5
- Designing data schemas and writing efficient queries for PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB
- Integrating with third-party services via REST APIs and message queues (RabbitMQ, Redis)
- Writing unit and integration tests with PHPUnit
- Conducting code reviews, following SOLID / DRY / KISS principles, and documenting your code
- Working in a Docker-based environment and deploying via GitLab CI/CD
- (Optional) Configuring full-text search with Elasticsearch
Our ideal candidate:
- Our tech stack
- Backend: PHP 8.x, Symfony 6, Doctrine ORM
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
- Message brokers / Queues: RabbitMQ, Redis (Kafka is a plus)
- Search engine: Elasticsearch
- Infrastructure & CI/CD: Docker, GitLab CI/CD
- Monitoring & Logging: Grafana, Sentry
- Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial experience with PHP, including at least 2 years with Symfony (4/5/6)
- Strong knowledge of Symfony internals: Bundles, Event Dispatcher, Messenger, Flex
- Confident working with Doctrine ORM (QueryBuilder, DQL, migrations)
- Experience in building and documenting REST APIs
- Solid SQL skills, including writing complex JOIN and CTE queries
- Basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript skills for frontend integration
- Experience with Git-flow, participating in code reviews
- Willingness to work with legacy code
- Nice-to-have:
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- CI/CD configuration experience in GitLab
- Familiarity with message brokers like RabbitMQ, Redis, Kafka
- Hands-on with Elasticsearch or other search engines
- English proficiency sufficient to read technical documentation
- Personal qualities
- Attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Eagerness to grow and explore new technologies
- Clear and effective communication
