A profitable fast-growing e-commerce business with its own import from China and sales on the largest marketplaces in the CIS. In 2025, revenue reached approximately 1.3 billion rubles; over the past year, the business has grown roughly 3 times in revenue and 4 times in profit without proportional team growth. There is an in-house team in Shanghai working with manufacturers and procurement. The next goal is to grow another 10 times through technology, automation, data, and process changes.
📍 Responsibilities
- The new CTO reports directly to the CEO, is part of the management team, and together with the owners
- participates in shaping the next business and technological model. This is not a role to support existing IT: it's essential to link technology with business growth, economics, and speed
- Take over the existing platform and ensure business continuity during changes
- Formulate architecture and technological strategy for the next scale
- Determine build / buy / keep, form an engineering team, and justify investments
- Automate key operational processes, including AI where there is a measurable economic effect
- Influence profit, turnover, launch speed, operation costs, reliability, and risks
- Three development directions
- Current e-commerce: scaling the internal platform and operational processes
- International direction: adapting the model and launching new markets
- IR Product Hunter: a B2B product for sellers - product search, procurement, import, logistics, documents, warehouse, and additional services
📍 Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Strong engineering and architectural foundation
- Fresh cases of scaling business or complex systems with measurable results
- Experience in making decisions not only on 'how to build' but also on 'what and why to build'
- Understanding of economics and the ability to link technological solutions with business results
- Experience in e-commerce, marketplace, retail, logistics, or supply chain - a plus, but not a mandatory requirement
📍 We are happy to offer
- There is no strict attachment to the place of residence, and relocation is not mandatory. The first year involves
- regular business trips: Omsk, Shanghai, and further countries for launching new directions. Conditions
- are discussed individually with the owners: a fixed part + reward for results,
- with the possibility of long-term motivation linked to business growth
