Business Development Manager | Programmatic Resell (Banner & Video)
We are a performance ad-tech platform specializing in programmatic resell: purchasing high-quality inventory from SSPs and efficiently reselling it through DSP buyers in banner and video formats.
We are looking for a BDM with proven experience in building and scaling programmatic resell operations (supply → demand), where profit is generated from the margin between SSP buying rates and DSP selling rates.
📍 Responsibilities
- Identify and onboard new SSP partners to source high-quality programmatic inventory (banner + video) at competitive rates
- Acquire and develop DSP buyers, agencies, and performance teams seeking scalable, fraud-free traffic
- Manage the full deal cycle: testing, analysis (margin, win-rate, quality), scaling, ongoing optimization
- Oversee the supply chain: optimize supply paths, ensure transparency, manage Deal IDs / PMP
- Monitor market trends (vertical video, shoppable banners, brandformance, CTV-like inventory) and adapt offerings accordingly
- Continuously optimize margins: negotiate floors and deals with SSPs, package inventory to match DSP client needs
- Achieve revenue, margin, and long-term partnership targets
📍 Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 2–4+ years of proven experience specifically in programmatic resell / arbitrage:
- Purchasing inventory from SSPs (PubMatic, Magnite, OpenX, Index, Yandex SSP, Adform, AppNexus/Xandr, etc.)
- Reselling via DSPs (DV360, The Trade Desk, Xandr, Yandex DSP, MGID, Taboola, programmatic direct, agencies)
- Experience operating in a pure resell model (no owned direct traffic / publishers), including supply path management
- Deep expertise in key formats:
- Banner / Display: standard formats (300×250, 728×90, etc.), rich media, interstitial, high-viewability formats
- Video: pre-roll, in-stream, out-stream, rewarded, VAST/VPAID, vertical / short-form video
- Strong understanding of resell economics: CPM buy vs CPM sell, margin per impression, win-rate, viewability, completion rate, fraud-rate, latency, supply path optimization (SPO)
- Strong negotiation skills: floor prices, private marketplaces (PMP) / deals with SSPs; testing, scaling, and performance guarantees with DSP buyers
- Experience with supply chain transparency tools: sellers.json, SupplyChain Object, minimizing hops
- Confident outreach to SSP partners and DSP clients (LinkedIn, email, Telegram, industry events)
- Knowledge of high-volume 2026 verticals: e-commerce, fintech, apps, gaming, education, dating — where banner and video generate stable volume in a resell model
